I have a 2007 R56 MCS with the stock (base) stereo system in it. I want a better sounding system. Should I just get a sub installed or get a sub and all the speakers replaced, or should I just replace the front speakers

I dont know much about audio. I dont want to blow the drivers ears out next to me I just want a decent sounding stereo system in my MINI, and yeah crake it up from time to time .

I dont want to spend a forutne either. I am thinking about going thru Jo-Di's they seem to do a good job in CT area. And have quite a few stores in New England.
Any tips advice?

Replacing the speakers yourself can be done too.

 

yup, the sticky on replacing your speakers will tell you everything you need to know.

There are alot of options but you'll probably find replacing the front speakers and adding an amp will get you the most bang for the buck.

 

There's also an Alta sub-enclosure in the works.
