Wow, thanks everyone!
Been busy with work stuff, so sorry for the belated response.
I eluded somewhat to my process in the contest thread, but I'm always happy to share more detail...
The best part is I didn't have to wash my Mini, just had to detail around the badge.
(Konky couldn't complain about my dirty wheels this time!
) Used an alcohol wipe to clean up the badge detail around the wings.
I tried parking the car in several places and directions on my driveway until I got the natural lighting right with the hood partially lifted. Camera was set on a tripod, adjusted so that the camera wouldn't be reflected in the photo, and prefocused while in shutter priority mode so I could get a fast shutter speed.
I used two leftover syringes (don't have needles on them) from the baby's or dog's medicine and repeatedly filled them with water. I attempted to keep my arm and body out of the chrome reflections with not much success while plunging the water out of both syringes. The gusty Bay Area winds weren't helping either for my poor aim.
I just kept hitting the shutter continuously while dribbling the water hoping to get a good splash photo. I took over 500 photos over two days. I admit this only to prove my patience because it never seems to matter how many photos you take, only that you got the one perfect photo that makes you happy. That and thank heavens for digital cameras! :D
Here are the four that didn't make the final cut, but are still interesting to me...

This photo was also remixed in a psychedelic fashion and displayed in post #386 in this critique thread.
