I don't think that would work with my labels - which are really more like super thin decals bonded to the visor... but lots of folks have had good success with a paper towel and denatured alcohol (fold and dampen the towel, then lay it on the visor, flipped so the decal is on top... let it sit a while, then wipe off).

Not with the hair-dryer method (though this does seems like the better route ... if it works, but I agree with blimey that it may not), but "yes", I've done it with the method described by Blimey above.
best mod for your buck!!
especially in the cabrio, where all you can see with the top down are those glaring and ugly stickers.

The stickers on the Z4 sun shades are just like the one's that were on my MINI, but I've not tried it yet, but aim to.

Our Cabrio is a '05, meaning those stickers have been there for three years. Any thoughts on whether they're "too well stuck" to try and remove?

my cabrio was one of the earliest builds, and I didn't remove the stickers until this February (when I bought it used). Mine have left a 'glossy shadow', but you really have to point it out to people, and noone would otherwise notice. It's 1000 times better than having the stickers.

And if all else fails, you can always get the label covers:

I tried everything we had in our cabinet at work...

The only thing that had any effect was denatured alchohol. soak a papertowel wilth the alchohol, let it soak into the sticker for a while. I think 5-10 mins, can't remember. Then just scrub the sticker off.

The alchohol will make the plastic material on the visor look wrinkled and loose. It scared the crap out of me, but it went away in less than a week.

I found denatured alchohol at home depot near the paint thinner, turpentine, etc.

The visors on my 06 look brand new, just without stickers.

Enquiring minds wonder, did you use stickers with the big red "S" on them? :impatient

Heh, heh... actually I used the nice sedate black ones with the MINI wings... no UJs on the visors... Left that for Dr. Evil. Mine look like they belong there - no one who gets in the car gives it a second thought. That wouldn't be the case if they were UJ...

As for the big red "S".... well.... I guess some people want more of those on their cars... they should check out my local Advance Auto Parts...

On my S they are on the bottom of the visor, so you see them every time you look up.

They're in the same place for cabrio and hardtop -- they just seem to stand out more on the cabrio with the top down (the same stickers on my hardtop 3-series don't bother me as much -- in fact, i haven't bothered removing them after 7 years).
