Is this good when you wash your car?

I washed my car twice now and when i go to dry off the car, and open the truck/hatch/boot what ever that's called, alot of water fall every where, in truck area, and also on the struts that hold up the trunk, do you think eventually they'll blow out cause of the water going inside that? Hope im not confusing anyone. I dont like it when i open the trunk and alot water fall from every where, i know its supposed to go onto the side, but it drips everywhere.

I know what your talking about It happens to me too. It's all sealed around the boot with the gasket that goes around the entire frame of the back of the car betwen the hatch and the inside of the car so no water will get in there, except if you open it and it may just get some drip.

But the struts I think they are sealed but i dont know if thell blow.

When I open the hatch after washing I get a lot of water dripping outside of the seal and not inside of the car. I was amazed at the attention to detail on designing where the water drops fall.

However, when I open the doors water drops fall on the seats.

And the hood scoop holds a lot of water also. When I open the hood a lot of water fall onto the engine air filter box thingy.

Leaf Blower

After washing, I use my electric LEAF BLOWER to get all the excess water off the car, out of the black grilles front and rear, around doors, hatches, wheels, you name it. Sure, the neighbors laugh . But it's very effective. I go all around the car, blowing water out of various seams. It's fast and easy. Then I switch to clean cotton towels to finish the job.
I should also note that I don't WASH the mini unless I've been in the rain or very bad conditions. A California Car Duster and Griot's SPEED SHINE, along with a fair amount of 100% cotton t-shirts, gets the job done fine for me. I wash the WHEELS (again, using Griot's wheel cleaner, which makes it a breeze) about 4 times versus the one time the car gets washed.

Sounds like a good method--thanks for sharing! Can you come to my place?

I have been doing the same thing only I have an air tank and air hose with a blow gun attached. It does work really well. It gets all the water out of the grill, hood scoop, side markers, arches, etc... After that, I dry off the car. Saves a ton of time.
