Is it okay to use this pulley?

This is supposed to be a 0% pulley. I just bought it secondhand and there seems to be some damage. Will this slight damage cause any problems to the belt? By the way, anybody know what brand of pulley this is? Thanks.

IMO, I would try and fix it. I wouldn't want that to chew up my belt and have to replace the belt on the side of the hwy or something. Good luck

Set your camera to macro mode unless you already did (little picture of a flower), it makes the pictures a lot less blurry.

In my opinion, i would not use the pulley looks like an issue waiting to happen.

Thanks for the input. How would you go about fixing it?

If you do not get those ridges straight you ill be going thru belts like crazy and cause yourself all kinds of problems . Not quite sure how to fix it but I guess you could try with a small file. The real question is what caused that damage and if there are any unseen issues with the pulley. Personally I would not use it .

It's your car so sure you can use it.

If it was my car I would buy a new 15% pulley or a mint or new oem.

I agree with the above posters....if that ridge has a sharp spot especially, it would completely tear the belt up and that obviously wouldn't be good. Since the belt has grooves that fit to the pulley it might throw something off when spinning fast, I wouldn't use it...

Buy an ALTA or M7 or similar brand and then you don't have to worry about anything!

Buy a new pulley & use that one as a paper weight.

If you use that one, you'll regret that decision.

Yup clean it up and use it as a paperweight! Why risk getting towed home for an expensive repair! I have some 0%'s at the office. I would be happy to offer you a discount just to see you NOT use that on your car!!!!!

Let me know and have a GREAT weekend!

It looks like Mini Mania's 15% pulley. If you try and fix that and put that back on your car....you are nutts. That spells expensive engine damage... For the $130 I would go buy another one.

Yes get a new one. I'm guessing you are using this 0% for your twincharge kit? Are you going to put it on?
I hope everything works out for you.
Take care
Mario
