random questions

ok, so im ordering my MINI in october but i have a few random but general questions....

First of all, i read that the glove compartment is cooled.... Now is it really cooled or is it just the temperature of the cabins ac system... meaning if you have it set to say 74 but have the AC on, will it cool the glove box only to 74 or will it be the coldest the ac can get it in the glove box...

Next up is with the start stop button... what happens if you stall? is it just like leaving the car in the ON position in normal keyed cars? i would assume so but im not sure... and this leads me to my next question..

If your battery was really low, too low to crank the motor, is it possible to push start the car? Would the car keep on cranking the motor, or at least try to until it starts since its all computer controlled?

I don't know about the last two questions but I can answer the first. There is a vent in the glove box that can be opened/closed allowing air flow from the vehicles heating/cooling system. So....it is based on the temperature setting that you have set in the climate control system.

Although it is just an A/C vent, the thermostat is not in the glove box and it is small, so I would say the temp would be closer to to that of the air coming out of the vent as opposed to the temp of the cabin (assuming the A/C is running). Stick a thermometer in a vent and you should get a relatively accurate idea

I think the days of push starting cars with dead batteries is waning. Too much has to go on that requires electricity to get the car started. But if you have enough juice to get the electrics working and just trouble cranking the engine enough, it might be possible.

I assume a stalled car would stay on.

lets say your having engine problems and for some reason the engine just will not start... ( no fuel or something of the sort) will the car keep cranking the engine because its not starting? or is the starter set to only crank for so mayn seconds..

It'll only crank for a few seconds before it'll call it a fail. I understand (from this website perhaps? No first-hand knowledge) that the computer uses different engine settings for the second and third start attempt.

You'll need to push the button once to turn the ignition off, then once again to restart. No experience with push starting. I would imagine that your assumption is correct.
