Top Gear
I enjoyed watching him try to get the power down from the Toyota F1 car on a polished concret surface last night. I think he just spun the wheels all the way down and then got pretty squirly when he tried to throw out the anchor.
Can you imagine how loud the shreek from that V10 at 18-19k was indoors!!

How many meters was that again? I work at a large convention center (2.4 Million Square Feet with Halls A, B and C being 473,000 contiguous square footage) - think we could break the record here with my MINI?
I'm sure I'd get fired without special permission to do the run. :-) Maybe StigKRUT can make an appearance.

It was measured in feet-384 I think. I don't know if the record was for indoor or indoor and some many feet but I think you're right the record could be easily beat-just make sure you have enough room to stop!
Just called operations - I've got 1,100 feet to play with.
It was 384 meters.
That episode is about a year old. I hope they keep playing new ones year round so we can catch up. I've been watching it online for years but it's so much nicer to watch on the big screen from the comfort of my couch.

dude, I've got that shirt!
Only after the pound->dollars conversion and shipping it ended up being a $45 t-shirt!

The only problem with the BBC America versions of Top Gear is that they chop out a lot of amusing and interesting dialog in order to shove in commercials.
Remember, BBC... that being the real BBC in the UK, is a commercial-free station (just like ABC in Australia <-- not associated with ABC in the US).
Top Gear is an hour-long show. If it's an hour long and we get commercials... we're missing content.
I'm happy to see its increased prevalance, but watching the episodes online, in their full glory, is still preferred to the Americanized versions, IMO.

I agree with Edge. You can still only get the full episodes online.
As for the shirts, I think I may get a few for Christmas. I definitely want the "I am the Stig" one but there are a couple others that are pretty good. Unfortunately, they are out of the cow-on-camaro shirt
. These are the kind of shirts that 99% of people are going to look at you in bewilderment and the other 1% will be laughing at how awesome they are.

Now you just need to line up a crew with timing and speed tracking equipment and a rep for Guiness to verify it all and you're in the books!
It's pretty interesting to see it takes a crew of 6 to get an F1 car running-I guess 1-2 of the Toyota crew just were there to moniter the telemetry systems. It's amazing the technology in those machines!
The segment on "Going on a caravan holiday" which was on around the F1 bit was some of the funniest TV I have seen in a long time. I had Tivo'd it and had to stop a couple time because I was crying, I was laughing so hard.
After reading the wikipedia link and having seen the F1/Warehouse record, I don't think The Stig is an F1 driver. An F1 driver would have known to be easier on the throttle. However, a Rally driver wouldn't... neccessarily
But like the Caravan skit, I believe they would leave a lot of writing in the show (for theatrics) to achieve a questionable outcome.
