Dinan

Im thinking of doing my whole car Dinan, I spoke to a rep there and they stated that parts should be coming out in a couple months, should I wait or just get other brand parts?

I have the Dinan Cold Air Intake. Quality part and actually a cold air intake unlike a lot of engine bay Cold Air intakes.

If you want to throw money away.
They make good stuff, but you'll pay for it. Other stuff is usually just as good and cost considerably less.

I spoke to Dinan today and they still say it'll be couple months before 07 parts comes out, ill just wait for them. Dealer stated that if I have Dinan parts and something goes wrong because of the part, its covered. I plan to get everything Dinan has to offer and there only 40 mins from me.

I've been nothing but happy with my Dinan Mini.... Its worth the wait.... especially for the warranty... BMW loves to not cover things....

I may wait to do suspension till they do it for the R56. They seem to have fantastic setups

Dinan costs more, but for a reason. They do more engineering and design work than any aftermarket supplier that I am aware of. As a result, you end up with a more reliable car that works better as a whole. Adding a lot of parts from different suppliers can be a gamble, and one that is often more costly in the long run, possibly way more costly. Dinan has worked hard to create an international reputation, and they continue to do the things needed to keep that reputation. I have installed lowering springs, but am waiting on other mods until Dinan has their modifications ready for sale. After all, the car isn't so bad they way it is delivered.

I suspect we have all seen cars that had been messed up by owners who threw gobs of money and parts at their cars, but who ended up with an ill handling car that is a pain to drive, and which in some cases is slower than when unmolested. It is vital that the parts resul in a whole that is integrated and functional.

cheers,

Joe

Dinan sucks.

Let's edit this.....

Not totally horrible parts, but bad installation stories. I know that M7 has started making parts for the R56, as well as ALTA has been making parts for it.

For the money... You can do much better than the DINAN products.
