hi,
i'm looking at getting some gauges for the mini. looking at a boost/vac gauge and an oil pressure gauge. my question is what would be recommended for the oil press gauge to read up to?
thanx

Most gauges read to 80-100psi. You can get a gauge that reads higher, perhaps 200psi, but since the MINI will never go above 60-70 with a cold engine, and about 30 nominally, you would be confining too much of the readings into a smaller portion of the scale with the higher ranged meter.

A readily available 0-100psi gauge would do fine, that's what I have on order for my upcoming gauge project, along with a boost/vac, water temp (I have NAV) and voltage gauges.

no i'm not. as they want too much money for no reason for that pod set. also, i don't need any of that electranical playback stuff. i just want mechanical gauges. so i'm getting those seperately and then using the alta pod that they have. will be much cheaper that way.

Because the nav unit takes the place of speedo and the now tach-sized smaller speedo has no room for the temp gauge, I am stuck with an idiot light for temperature. The fuel gauge is an LED bargraph below the nav, but no temp gauge.
