hey!..

i have a set of ASA AR1 18s .. and im planning on refinishing them!... i have couple of ideas that i want to put out there and get your opinions. i have AB/white ... and red mirror caps... i was planning on get the ASA AR1 in "time attacked" what do you think or get them all matte black... they are silver with polish lip rightnow... or is there any other advice out there plz letmekno thnx....

What is "time attached", BTW? Some sort of antique patina?

hey!! Time attack is where the wheels have a different color pin strip on lip of the wheels!! I was thinking of getting the wheels matte black with red lip or matte black with white!?!?! Or just get the centers gunmetal with red centercaps polish lip?!? Or full matte black?!? My car is an astroblack with white top & red mirror caps?!?! If u guys can help me out that would be great!!! i ahve an astroblack cooper S with white roof.. and red mirror caps:

 

The red rim would go well with your red mirror caps. Ties them together visually. I like the ones Minihune posted. They would look great with AB. If that is called matte black, then fine, but I wouldn't go for anything in a flatter finish than that. I'd call those wheels semi-gloss, rather than matte.

 

not sure how the white roof will work but here's a pair of pics with Volk Time Attacks mounted (first is mine in 16", second is TeddyGP's in 17")

How many roofs do you have? That would make a difference. Generally, I would recommend using the wheels at the bottom of the car, rather than the top.

White wheels can look good with a white roof -- even better if you have white mirror caps. However, they will show brake dust so you will be cleaning them frequently to maintain the look you want. What color is the car?

Since you have red mirror caps, black wheels with a red rim could also look good.
