how should i drop my car??

im considering h-Sport springs over the m7 because i want a modest drop but then again h-sport is only 1 inch drop front and back ...im not so sure if will make much of a difference in look ...the ride is 2 priority to how the drop will look for me .....i have 18 inch rims with a 40 offset and 35 on the tires so will going any lower than a 1 inch drop creat rubbing problems ...does anyone have a similiar rim and h-sports ..any pics ?....or should i go with m7 springs will the 33 millimeter drop make much of a difference over the h-sports.....also big question ...what shocks should i get ...

You can do a search under the gallary to try and find some pictures of any cars with the two types of springs you would like..... i am almost positive there is someone here running 18" rims on m7 springs and it looks great, plus there are alot of good things to be said about the m7 springs on this forum. Personally i would go with m7 cause i love the way it looks dropped on there springs but in all reality its up to you. And whichever spring set you decide to go with will look great.....

I have the h-sport springs installed and the were problems with camber in the back, rear lower control arms fixed that. the front drop was not as dramatic but the ride of the h-sport is so close to stock. the h-sport springs are know to have a personality of thier own from set to set. i say try the m7 and keep me updated with how they are.

awesome ...thank you for the well needed info ....i figure 1 inch drop is not gonna be enough for a nice but still modest drop......i hear no stock shocks will damage the struts in the long run buttt i guess doing just springs for now will give me more time to save up for shocks

Check out the TSW springs. I have them and I love the linear rates.

It is best to do spings and shocks at the same time. Lowering springs will shorten the life of the stock units.

yeah i hear the struts will have a shorter life without a shock upgrade....buttttt will a month or so of daily driving on lowered springs with stock units really shorten the struts THAT MUCH ?.....shcosk are pricey so if i do both at the same time i will need to wait longer to lower my car and i want it low nowwww lol

The ride will slowly deteriorate over time, you probably won't even notice that they are shot until they are really, really bad.

If your going to replace both the shocks and springs, go with coilovers. Much more adjustability and probably not much more money. M7 makes great coilovers . P.S. add camber plates while your at it .

Just remember that you will save a bundle on labor by waiting to do both at the same time. And you will only have to do an alignment once. I waited for about 6 months to get the money for my suspension mods, cause I wanted it all done at the same time.

i have 18's with a 35 profile tire and i went with H-Sports, no regrets.. the harsh ride at stock never really bothers me and too be honest after i got rid of the run flats i think my ride has gotten better. i like the h-sports and they're just proven to be efficient, the 1" was good enough for my liking

I "droped" mine with Alta blue springs. 1" all around. No problem with the shocks yet - 10K miles. I'm running 17" lites with 225x45x17 - very little rubbing on bad dips that already rubbed off (inside the rear fender arch plastic trim). I also have a 22mm Ireland rear sway bar. Great combination!
