Well, a minor glitch - has anyone else had the chrome trim come loose around the base of the canvas top? It's a U-shaped piece, with the ends of the U facing forward, one on the driver side, one on the passenger side.

It hasn't come although way off, just loose on the driver's side. It pops off and sticks out.

Is it best just visiting the dealership and having them re-attach? Luckily, I live only 4 miles from the local dealership.

Hopefully this isn't something I'll see much more off.

 

Yep, if your car is still under warranty, let the dealer replace it. I tried using some 3M stuff as a temporary fix, but when the temps heated up it popped off again. When I finally got to the dealership, they had it changed in no time.

 

Mine did too. Dealer replaced no problem.

I also had a problem with the black edging under it tearing back from the front. It was replaced once by MINI. I'm not out of the 50,000 mile warranty so I just snapped off the piece sticking up with my thumbnail when it did the same thing to the new one.
I've also found the piece by the rear windows popped up before too a good firm push gets it back into place..

 

This is also happening to me. I'll wait for the service in a few months.
