My Melting Head

I bought my MINI is January when the inability to full close-off the moon roof wasn't an issue. Now that it's 101F the top of head is starting to melt. Why MINI couldn't be bothered to provide a full sun screen is beyond me.

By the way, this is also the case on the Audi A3's moon roof so it's not exclusively a bit MINI silliness.

The question is what to do? I have thought of having the roof glass tinted.

Has anyone else done anything more clever or effective?

You could get a roof graphic. This site can give you some ideas:

I got limo tint (5%) on my roof and it makes a huge difference. So does wearing a hat.

Don't want hat hair.

I guess that limo tint is looking like the best option so far.

When I read your title I was thinking you were having serious engine issues!

My head is my mental engine and it's overheating badly!

No kidding. It's gonna be triple digits here for the rest of the summer (and early fall, for that matter) and the sun is really nasty on my coconut.

El Bulldog,

Triple digits for the rest of the summer ?

You don't need a roof graphic, a better hat, or anything else in your MINI. You need a lot of boxes and moving van !

Just another summer in The Valley.

Great place to live, but your AC needs to be very, very healthy.
