A question about Wheels

I wanted to keep this local, but as you know I have 15" wheels on my MC. Seeing that I'm pushing 35K on the OEM tires, I'm looking at using the wheels for Winters and going with a larger size for spring, summer and fall use.

I do have a preference but for right now i'm seeking comments on what shall I spend my $$ on. 16, 17 or 18" wheels for my daily with a summer performance tire. Some performace, some bling and some comfort wants to be maintained but realize I can't have all.

I've done enough research to make my head explode.

ords- i have a set of x-lites (16's) with the runflats (has some curbage,
bought used) you can have for $200. the tires are kinda shot but you
can wrap some GS-D3's on them for a nice setup like mine.

let me know if you're interested. these are my spares for now and
was going to use them when im ready to sell my MCS in the future.

im probably keeping the MCS for a few more years so was going to
sell these off and re-wrap my SSR's with GS-D3's next spring.

With your commute I would say 16". They will have a bit more sidewall for comfort and a little more bling for the bling.

the rimmage can easily be fixed with some spot bondo if you're
going to repaint them youself.

ive done it on my Legacy's wheels and turned out nice.
(although i ended up buying some mesh wheels for it anyway. )

Pickup Ken's 16's and paint them Astro Black.

I just took off my S-Lites w/ Pirelli runflats from my car today and cleaned them up, and now they are sitting in my garage. I'll likely be painting them a graphite color within the next few weeks. But meanwhile, if you wanted to do a test fit to see how they look/feel, just let me know. I'm near the Sportsdome by Rt 30 and Rt 34, so I think I'm pretty close by. Haven't spotted you yet, however!

We're within 5 minutes of each other so by all means we should meet up and yes, no spotting yet. I've seen a couple of others around town with R56's.

Paul, I would really love OZ, however considering Gabe has these already and he also has his new AB, I want something different.

Thanks for the suggestion!

BBS is what I'm looking at currently, probably in 16's to keep very light and increase in a larger tire versus stock.

ORDS - Those rims you are looking at from BBS are the rims used on the M# performance package for the 2007-2008 model year. They are gorgous in black with a chrome lip, or a darker silver finish. good choice!!!

Well, not per se. I've had these for a while. You've seen them. The rubber is Falken 512 ZE in a 215/45/17. With the drop I get some occasional rubbing with the 215's in there but nothing too dramatic.

I just threw them up there to encourage you to keep thinking about it. You won't regret it.

i have sumitomas HTR Z II's and i really like them. they're a great tire for the money. summer tire that is...

anyone know where i could get a spare set of 17's with some all season or winter tires used? i'm really just concerned with the tire being in decent shape, i could always paint the wheels like i did with mine!
