Okay they are no cheap, total was something like $120.00 but I need to maximize my MINI's boot. I have the boot organizer as well, with my GoldenGrahams ready to go in emergencies.

The bags go under the rear shelf and attach with 4 screws provided. There were places for the screws to attach to already on the shelf (I never noticed the four little bumps). It has the "offical" Owner's Manual holder on the left, a wide pocket in the middle (holds my Gtech, screwdriver, and trorx driver) and a small pocket on the right with the MINI logo (holds 2 FRS radios perfectly). You can tell how deep the pockets are as it's only as deep as the shelf itself. When I originally purchased it from the pictures in the catalog, it looked like they hung off the back of the seat (thus the name "saddle bags&quot but no it's totally held on under the shelf. Works nicely when those string things are attached...

Cool. I'd been thinking about those. Did you get at the dealer?

Yes I had the dealer order it so at least I did not have to pay for shipping.

That looks cool, I think I will get one thanks to you...

It's part number 82110154464 (I hope, I got it from the catalog)

BTW is that the remote control R2-D2? Does it really stay up there? It looks cool, hahaha.

hmmm, from what i could tell from the catalog, the pockets were a decent size. but from your description, it seems they are a little on the small side - but that doesn't mean that i've lost interest.

are the bags only "accessible" when the boot is open and the shelf has swung upwards?

It works best when the shelf swings up, as otherwise it's horizontal and difficult to get at. Plus things won't fall out then.

As for R2 It's a plastic head and Velcro'd to the shelf. Doesn't move but definately looks good (IMHO)

I have been wondering how the saddle bags fit into the Mini. Now I am interested in it thanks to the pictures.

Is there any aftermarket supply that might costs less?

Are the saddle bags held shut by velcro? Cause if so, that sucks..the velcro on the disc changer cover peels off the second it heats up outside. I can only imagine they peeling off and all the stuff falling out. Let me know cause I would like to get this.....

Just got the "saddle bags", love them, much needed storage. I have my manual, rally light caps, and pocket pc cord in them.
