B&M short shifter

does B&M currently make a short shifter for the R56, all i saw on their website was this one
http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id...cat=15&pid=290

And is that the one for the R56?

I just got off the phone with B&M, and the 45131 shifter isn't recommended for the R56. The rep said that they aren't working on a shifter for the R56, but if enough people call in requesting it, they would be more likely to produce one.

Some short shifters decrease throw and leave the stock shifter height, others decrease throw by lowering the shifter stalk down. Note, it is a LOT harder to shift if you lower the shifter stalk. You take for granted how much leverage 2.5 inches gives you.

I have the Helix one on my car and i'm happy with it .

For what i remember the B&M lowers the stick...not good!
I saw a beautiful short shifter for the 350z, it had a long stick with a tubular ****, very similar to a race sequential box. The **** was closer to the wheels...but the throw was the same a stock (pretty short)

Ours allows you to choose the height of the stick as well as the placement of the ****,(fore aft left right etc.) But the height of the **** also changes the throw. The shifter at the stock **** setting is only about 15% shorter than stock. But again you can customize it at anytime.

Our dealer as well as we have the R56 specific ALTA shifters in stock. Let me know if I can help in anyway!
