BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2 vs. Yokohama Parada Spec-2

I am looking to ditch the runflats as soon as I get my suspension issue fixed next week. Once thats done and camber plates are installed, new shoes are going on. Only problem is, I can't decided on tires. The shop I am going to likes to install the PS2's and I am hearing that a lot of people like the BFG KDW2....

I have a feeling I am going to get a lot of feedback about going for the KDW2's, so which ones should I go for?

What size tires? 18"?
What kind of driving do you do mostly, any HPDE?
What is your budget?
How long do you want the tires to last?
How important is ride quality and comfort/noise?

Of the two the PS2 look nicer, the KDW2 offers better handling but less comfort, more noise. The PS2 isn't exactly a smooth riding street tire, it's rough riding and noisy as well but less so than the KDW2.

If you want good handling and good street manners then check out

I had both the PS2 and KDW2 on my engine and suspension modded 2003 MCS. The size was 215/40x17. I did HPDE with both. Mainly used on street. I am an aggressive driver. I like the KDW2 better than the PS2. I thought the noise was about the same. Rear neg camber wear (from lowering before I added adj. RCA) seemed to be the major cause of noise.

I am running 17's right now, spirited commuting and aggressive back road driving regularly perhaps some track in the near future, $80-140, I want to use this set of tires for dry season driving and once it starts getting wet, I am going to throw the Pirelli runflats back on. I want to stick in those corners and not lose it at all, comfort and noise are not that big a deal to me as I play my music kinda loud.

Those F1's sure look nice, might have to look into those as well!

Thanks for the help!

Based on your requirements.

I would predict that the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 would fit the bill.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Eagle+F1+GS-D3

215/45-17 $132 each
280 treadwear Y speed rated 22 lbs. 24.6" tire diam.91 load rating

Test results

Very good handling and traction in both dry and wet.
Good comfort for street driving overall considering this is Max Performance summer tire. Not worth changing to another tire for wet- this is one if it's strengths.

If your coilovers are fairly low then it's also possible to use
215/40-17 $153 each 19 lbs. 23.8" tire diam. 83 load rating (low)
Costs more but you get less weight and stiffer sidewall good for quicker turn in and handling but a little less comfortable. Load rating is lowest possible for street use, don't load up your car with too much stuff.
