Flat Tire Indicator Light

Looking for some opinions. So I had a huge nail in my front passenger run flat. I got it patched on Thursday afternoon, then Friday night (and maybe 30 miles), the flat tire indicator light comes on (which didn't come on when the nail was in the tire). I take the car back to the tire shop Sunday (didn't drive Saturday), they check the tire pressure on all tires, pressure is correct for all of them. The shop resets the flat tire indicator light using the switch next to the parking brake.

Is it likely the system just needing resetting? I'm wondering if people have had a similar experience. Guess I'm just a little paranoid since the same light indicates a major engine malfunction!

Thanks.

Since when did the flat-tire light also be a engine malfunction light? My guess is that the pressure on the tire with the nail didn't drop enough to set off the flat tire monitor, but when they patched it and re-inflated it, it may have went just over the level that tells the monitor something is wrong.

Yeah, just follow the manual's directions on resetting it. I had mine go off once when all the pressures were the same (and fine).
