I now have an estimated delivery date of 5/29. According to the MA it was released to a trucking company yesterday (only a day's drive to Sacramento).

Has the delivery date been pretty true? Too bad it won't be here by Friday.

 

Depends. Possible you may have it well before the 29th, from what it sounds...

Now, if they stamp the wrong VIN number on it at the factory, all bets on delivery date accuracy are off.... Ask me how I know...

 

Oh I think you'd definitely have it by tomorrow or Sat. the latest!!! The MA has the most up to date information so believe what he/she says. If it's only a day's drive then it should arrive at the dealer today and go through PDI (or whatever it's called - dealer prep) today or tomorrow and you should take delivery really soon. There could be delays with the truck, but normally I don't think it's more than a day or so.

Keep us posted!!!! Oh...if you really really really wanna know when it'll get here, have the MA give you an estimate. I'm sure it'll be pretty accurate

 

My MA did the safe thing...anytime between tomorrow and next Friday...

 

Oh...not cool...but he/she just doesn't want you to be disappointed. We'll all be cheering for your MINI to hurry up and get here by Sat.

Just get everything ready so that when you get "the call" you'll be ready to go!

I took a zin-like approach in waiting for my car. When it got here, then it was here.

 

I was lucky. I ordered my MCS on April 30th, and took delivery on May 22nd. Three weeks from order to delivery...unbelievable.

 

Man you're luck Coffeeman! This hopefully last week is hell for me!

 

Must be nice to not have to wait all that long. It's been a long 2 months. Since we ordered we sold our other car (a relatively nice 2000 BMW in excellent shape and fun) immediately after the order.

I've been slugging around in our SUV (which actually drives very nicely, Infiniti FX) but gets terrible MPG, and just can't be flung around like a car....oh I can't wait to actually be back in a car again....then there's the break in period...

 

The lounge is a joke...it'd be like determining your each and every move solely based on your daily horoscope (no offense to anyone who actually does this). No, you have to triangulate...use the OL, use ASK-MINI, use your MA, use NAM (okay that's four but you get the idea). Between these four you'll probably be able to guess arrival within a day or two. FWIW, after leaving Southampton, I only used the OL to recheck my order details. Why I do not know.

Well ok,..maybe "zin-like" was not the most appropriate description of how I handled it.
