Exhaust shop for one-ball surgery in Portland?

Has anyone had this done in town and is willing to recommend the place you had do it?

I like quiet and cheap.

Thanks.

Call Allen at Upscale Automotive, in Tualatin.

He knows his MINIs, and owns one that's pretty cool himself.

LOL. Yeah, Allen sends me mad cash. Not.

There are just a few folks in town that I would trust to noodle around with my cars.

Allen is right at the top of a very short list. All of them, you probably know already.

Pretty much Jeff, John, Allen, DickG, George and Tony C, and the boys at Matrix. Somewhat reluctantly I'll go to Rasmussen for "outside of warranty" standard service issues.

Matrix is not working with MINI's anymore, at least that is what Jeremy told me. :(

Where are the other people employed at? The only place I've found to do work on my MINI is PDXTuning. I used to have a Subaru WRX, so I know those guys, but do they know MINIs?

Thanks.

Yeah, Jeremy and the boys are all Audi, Porsche and Mercs.

Your best bet for commercial work is Allan. The others are all experts for a variety of reasons. None do commercial service, except Allan and to a lesser extent, George. George is more into doing R & D, developing and manufacturing mods, etc.

You can call George at 888-783-6294 (MINI-Madness) and ask, but I suspect he'll be more interested in selling you a Borla or a Milltek and installing it. Or doing a custom exhaust development/ tune for your car.

Oh, and yes the folks at PDX Tuning know MINIs. In addition to ALTA/PERRIN, Jeff is part owner, unless he sold his interest in it.

Through all of this, again, Allan would be a good bet, though. He knows his MINI's, and is a postively sterling guy, to boot. He's on these boards occasionally. Allan, if you are here, come out an play with us for a minute in this thread!
