turbo twincharge ?????

hey guys ,i'm thinking bout dropping in a turbo. jus had some questions, is there a lot of engine work to be done before i do the turbo, or is that only if i wanna push serious boost? 5-6 grand is a lot, but i'm curious other than the clutch n stuff if im gonna need other mods done to the engine along with that, such as pistons, head, injectors, etc. any advice would be great.

Well sort of, I mean to be "safe" you need a boost guage (obviously) and it has been recomended that you have an upgraded exhaust, and a new bigger intercooler or a DFIC to keep your temps down. ALSO, more than anything you need a new computer for the changes in boost pressure and everything else... seach the forums though because there is lots of information to be found.

I think it would be easier to drop a tritec motor in the R56 and begin twincharging from there.

Anytime you upgrade to a larger turbo larger fuel injectors and ecu piggyback or reflash is due. I dont know what flow rate the mini has as fuel pump goes, so i cant tell you to upgrade that also.
