I've been going nuts looking for that new purple Matchbox. One of our local stores has their new inventory sheets taped up in the toy section and I've gone back for 3 straight days to find that they haven't stocked the section yet. But they do have the superfasts on the list. . . . .

I did find some of the superfasts at another wal-mart but the Mini was gone. But since I have a Land Rover Defender, I was still happy to discover there was a Defender superfast for my toy collection.

Who's your friend?

Stumbled on this VERY nifty RC at Fry's Electronics!

They come in this yellow and lime green. The detail is quite good and it's ZIPPY!

It uses 4 AA batteries and before you play, you have to charge the car! Just plug the remote into the "exhaust" for about 5 minutes. Also, there's a TURBO button (or is that a Sport Button?) on the RC.

The headlights and blue "dome" lights light up when going forward; the tail lights in reverse.

They are just under $10 each. Haven't mailed in a while but it seems it's about $4 or so. Of course, PayPal gets a cut - roughly $1.

How does $16 each sound? PM me with requests. Not sure how many there are (or how many of each color) but I'll do my best.

Wait till you see my toy room. It's almost done. I have a few more display cases to buy and I should have all my collectables in there places. Mind you it's mostly Non MINI items.

I found a couple of these at Target today. Not in with the toy cars, but with the little kid toys. The body is sort of squishy and it's labeled for "over 12 months". It says "Tonka" on the roof.

There is an eBay auction that just started for a set of all three R50 MINI robots. I will be bidding but I only need the red one. So if I win I'll have the silver and blue ones available if someone wants them.

Mmmm. I guess, depending on the price, I might be interested. Not like I'm out of room or anything.

Yeah, I know. But I just have to finish that set. I'll find room for it!

Found the blue RC at KBtoys for $20. I would like to trade it for a BRG mini of some kind.

I also found a Matchbox factory mistake anyone want it make offer.

MINI Flash Drives

Somewhat off-topic, but here goes. Using information from the "Instructables" website (http://www.instructables.com/id/1-Gi...-Mini-Cooper/), I made these two MINI Cooper S Flash Drives. The red one is front USB Drive and the blue is rear USB Drive. Both were made with Matchbox MCS's and OCZ Roadster 1 GB USB flash drives, which are hard to find. These flash drives fold in half, just fitting snugly between the wheels.

Nice find... I guess the front USB drive would be more authentic!!

Depending on price, I'd be interested in the silver one.

We just got home from visiting my brother in Arizona. He gave me this nice truck set that he found on a recent trip in Germany. It's a Maisto set and the MINIs are the motorized ones.

MINI_Bee, I don't know if you're still looking, but at Desert MINI they have a red MINI robot still for sale for $20. It's been in the display case for a LONG time and the printing on the packaging is surprisingly faded, but it's available. They also had a silver one there. No blue ones left though.

Well that's pretty cool. I only need the red one and I liberate all my stuff anyway so the package doesn't matter. That set of three is still available on eBay with one day to go and no bids. Starting bid is $60. I'll still bid on that if others still want the other two colors (blue and silver). If not, maybe I can call that dealership and have them ship me the red one.

If you do contact Desert about it (702 871-1010), the toy is over in the MINI showroom and not in the parts department.

Well, I was busy finishing a video project at work and stayed really late, so I totally forgot about the eBay auction and didn't even bid. The whole set of robots went for $60! So I'll give that dealership a call to get the red one and complete my set. Thanks Agro!
