Here's the latest cool, non-diecast, MINI item I've picked up.
Front:
And the inside front cover:
The inside front flips down and lists the "privileges" of the passport and all the UK phone numbers to call for assistance. The pages have spots for your car's photo and stamps of the visted locations, just like a normal passport.
Anyone else got one and if so, what does yours have in the 2 white spots on the cover?

Wow! What a beautiful passport - and I don't have one
On a real British passport, the two spaces would show the persons name and the passport number on the outside - so I guess for this one you could write in your (or your cars name) and VIN?
Maybe I should scan my old British one ... since the EU, the British passport has changed to the EU standard which is smaller and red, more like the US one. This mimic passport is like the old design.

I just got my May '06 issue of Dwell magazine and it has a really cool ad for MINI. On pages 48 & 49 it has a spread called "LET'S VISIT FIVE WONDERS OF THE MODERN WORLD." and includes a map of cool modern places to visit including:
1. The Chinati art foundation, Marfa, Texas
2. Santiago Calatrava Bridge, Redding, California
3. The Farnsworth House*, Illinois
4. Arcosanti, near Pheonix, Arizona
5. Fallingwater, Mill Run, Pennsylvania
But the coolest thing starts on page 51 and runs for the next 38!!! pages. It's a flip book style ad on the right hand side of each page that shows the MINI parking in a space that an oversize pickup truck tried to park in but couldn't fit. The tag line is "ONE SIZE FITS ALL."
If that's not enough, there's another ad on 232 & 233, plus one more small one on page 235. Wow.
There is also a website listed: http://www.dwellmag.com/mini but unfortunately, the link doesn't seem to work yet.
*This house was designed by Mies van der Rohe, who coined the phrase "Less is more" and is who my MINI (Mies) is named after because of said phrase.

I'm glad to see this thread is getting active again! My dad gave me a new ad today that he said he got in the latest issue of FHM. I got the May FHM in the mail yesterday and mine did not have the ad. I also checked the April issue again and it was not in there either. Maybe someone else will come across this one and can clear up where it actually came from.
Anyway - It is a little booklet that goes along with their website campaign about being do-gooders. It even has a little cardboard punch-out thing that fits over your cup holder and has a little coin slot so you can collect coins to give to your favorite charity. Here are some pics.

Thanks for the Dwell Magazine info - I bought a couple of copies, cut out and scanned the pages from one, and made an animated "flick cartoon" of the parking sequence.
I put it all on my website: http://www.gbmini.net/mtblog/archive...magazine.shtml

The MOTORING HEARTS brochures can be picked up at your MINI dealer. I was also able to get a MOTORING HEARTS DEALER KIT which is a 34-page book printed on heavy stock. I bought a MOTORING HEARTS grille badge ($16) and lapel pin ($3) as well.
Please post the magazine name, issue number or date, and the page numbers on (or between) which the ad can be found. Then I can update the list. Thanks!
James
