Apologies if this topic has been posted already, I did a quick search and didn't see anything super recent. I am looking for the 1/18 scale model of the Volcanic Orange F56 S with black roof, black wheels, and black bonnet stripes produced for MINI by Norev when the 3rd-generations launched. It is still listed on Shopminiusa, however, it is not available any longer. I have checked high and low and have had zero success. I work for a MINI dealer and had them do a nationwide dealer search and found none in anyone's inventory whatsoever.
To make a long story short, a very close friend of mine has this exact car down to the detail in real life, and I really wanted to get it for him as a gift to have. With the holidays a few months away, I am taking a long shot on here to see if anyone has seen them pop up for sale anywhere, or if anyone has one and is willing to sell even. Please let me know, and feel free to post or PM if you have any information. The Volcanic Orange in particular seems quite hard to come by sadly. Any help is appreciated.
I know this isn't it, but it always makes me feel good to post this photo. My wife knew how much I wanted the real thing but I had to settle for this tiny one. Buy a different color if you can and give it to your MINI body shop for a paint job. They should have some fun with that.
I have that very model.....I had it before ordering my new F56 JCW back in April 2015 before the 6 Speed Manuals were even available! Sorry, I can't part with mine, but if you look carefully, and get the MINI part number, you might still score one somewhere in stock at a MINI dealer. I lucked into a few 1:18 R56 JCW models that way (the black with red roof, and the blue with black roof JCW's)....quite rare these days! But, I had the part number and asked around the USA and found a few!
I am still amazed that no model maker has manufactured an F56 JCW Model...nobody! Dumb! There IS a market by now....come on!!!!
And why in the world did MINI quit making Volcanic Orange? Seems the best colors are planed to be rare by design! Love that color!
I'm still looking for a 1:18 scale F56 JCW Model...been looking for 5 years!...I guess nobody feels the investment in producing one is worth it, yet I see all kinds of "junk models out there"! It would surely be worth it imo! Maybe someone will get on board now that the GP3 has been released! AutoArt, Minichamps, Kyosho, etc.where are you?
Thanks for the link, but I have that one. It's an "S" not a John Cooper Works. I'm yet to see a JCW anywhere! By the way, I bought that model 5 or 6 years ago for a lot less $$.
