I haven't actually found the Hot Wheels Countryman in stores yet, only found the photo online. Supposed to be in the HW 2013 collection.

 

I found a CM on Ebay but it was part of a "lot".

 

I haven't found the Countryman yet, but I did find a yellow version of the MINI Challenge racer today. I never even noticed on the blue one that the arches are painted black...

bentyyc, Have you come across any more yellow Challenges?

 

Hate to say, but I'm pretty sure that yellow challenge isn't legit...

A bunch of people were re-painting these when they first came out. Note that if you do a google image search that the only existence of the yellow version comes from this website and my local club board.

Then, combine that with the fact that no yellow challenge version exists on any collectors forums or lists, nor Hot Wheels' own website. The HW site says there are only the four variations we already know: blue, blue/red, red, white.

Note that it's impossible to find a picture of it in it's package anywhere online and ebay has never ever sold a yellow one before. Plus, why would they put out a yellow model now for a piece from last year's lineup that's already discontinued...

I've seen several ebay auctions for yellow challenges but they are all in the UK and AUS. Could be fakes but IDK.

What is the blue/red one you listed?

edit: I chatted with Bentyyc about the yellow challenge. He said it came in a multi pack hot wheels.

Sorry, I meant for that to say 'blue/red wheels'.

There is a scarce variant of the blue one that comes with unique "redline" wheels outlined in red. It was exclusive to one vendor, I believe it was Walmart. I got one on ebay, never could find it on the shelves.

 

I have both variants. I think it was Walmart that had them. I went to Target today and checked all the mulit packs looking for that yellow challenge. But nothing.

 

This thread says 2011, but since you all are posting 2012 stuff, I guess Ill do the same....

Maybe a Moderator and split the thread and make a 2012 thread?
