A "rain drop" on a sunny day with dry ground? 
I gave a benefit of doubt and thought "morning dew", but it was taken at 2:55pm in the afternoon, that's not likely either.
I like the photo, it just has me scratching my head a bit with wonder. I'm not ready to buy the "water drop" theory yet, but will believe the photo is upside down.

Huge thanks for the trim testing you did, sucks that your detailing is delayed again.That's what I thought about it being upside down. I'll look forward to seeing the uncropped version posted later.

Voted for #4. Loved the composition and color brilliance. However, I really would have gone with #12; loved the idea, not the result. Kinda looked like a disco ball. Sorry, just my humble opinion.

...it doesn't matter, for the purposes of this contest, how the image was created.
Perhaps I should have Photochomped them out?

Thank you for your kind comments. Beautiful captures of spring in this contest, especially the rainbow. Just for clarification (I do not know if I am allow to do this or not), #12 is not altered in Photoshop any way or form. I just used Lightroom to bring more contrast and crop. Real technique will be revealed after the poll is ended. Enjoy the weather everyone, happy motoring.

how do dead dragonfly's beat my "mini as a golf cart" picture? wtf?
not to mention, I have a hard time believing that photo 12 isn't just a good piece of photoshop work given the heavy pixelation in the drop
maybe I'm just bitter, I thought I had a real chance with this one. . .

Where did you take the MINI as Golf Cart pic? It looks like Preston in Cary, NC.

There a spot where it only took about 40 feet or so of backing the MINI up the cart path so that it looked like we drove down that windy part of the trail. Makes me wonder how much fun it would be to actually drive the MINI down the golf cart paths. . .
