November Photo Contest | Sponsored by VacuCam

This is the 23rd installment of the monthly photo contest
Sponsored by VacuCam

Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is the 25th of this month.

NOTE: The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data).

Thanks again to OctaneGuy and VacuCam for the continued support of the photo contest.

The prize for this month will be a VacuCam Tow Hook camera mount. Although it's still being manufactured, it will be sent to the winner when its finished. (Minus the Camera and Red Tow Hook). Better pictures coming later, but it's compatible with any small video/still camera.

If that doesn't appeal to the winner, they can opt to receive a detailing DVD.

In either case, the Tow Hook mount is there to increase your shooting options or the DVD is there to help you maximize the shine on your MINI for the next photo shoot!

Thanks OctaneGuy!

November's topic :: Interior Lighting

Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

This is going to be a tough topic. I'd like to get in on this. My MINI has been in the body shop for the last month... Maybe it will be back!

Well this will be a challenging one, I've tried many that will fit this category over the months and I'm still not sure I've found one I like yet, though a few new ideas hit me last week. hmmm Can't wait to see the entries.

ooh, very interesting topic! Those with their crazy colored LED or neon interior lights may have an advantage here (even those '05+ mood lights) but that just means the rest of us have to be more creative.

The best part is, it doesn't rely on good weather!

Great topic

I thought this friendly monthly competition is for geared more for amateurs who are expressing their artistic nature and love for the MINI, not professional photographers.

Where have the pros/artists been hiding?

Just my thoughts

I wasn't implying that pros shouldn't participate, only that I thought the contest is geared more for the "average joe photographer"

And if you are a professional photographer 89AKurt, you haven't been hiding I have always enjoyed your submissions.

Should be a good month full of creative ideas.

The more participation the better, from the "rookies" like myself to the professional car photographers.

Nah...just the little spot you'll be photographing.
Or use the dirt "artistically"

I've got enough dirt to make something like a sand castle.

I'm leaking my plan: stuff the back with ristas (red chili peppers strung together). Only works for Chili Red!

what a tough topic . i tried takin some pics the other night. they all looked like dog doo-doo.it doesn't help when i'm using a canon powershot a540. it's not the worst camera, but certainly not the best camera for this application.whoever takes the prize this month deserves it.that's for sure. good luck.

Got my picture tonight. I'm tempted to post some of the ones that I'm not going to use, but I don't want to give my idea away.

Hmm, this one's going to require a bit more thought. Sure you don't want a rerun of last month's contest now that the leaves are starting to change color here in San Jose?

Since I've only have an on camera flash right now, I'm thinking about a low tech approach (read cheap bastard ) with a tripod, some garage trouble lights, and translucent colored tissue paper or plastic film. Any other cheap bastard suggestions?

Now I'm just wondering how Kurt's gonna stuff a sunset inside Swifty???
