Um, brown is a color.

 

I was recently up in VT, not sure if I got "the one" while I'm up there but definatley got a contender.

 

Darn, I wish I could have parked my Mini underneath this tree!
(I took this picture last weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving weekend). Prefect day for photos ops'. Some of the best fall colours on earth are here in Ontario. Imagine a forest full of these. I hope this weekend's weather forcast is just as good for some Mini photo op's in the forest for this contest... )

Well all my contenders are full of obvious "fall colors" Still trying to decide upon the final entry.

 

I found this picture on a magazine cover and thought it perfect for this month's contest thread.

when seasons collide:



I missed the opportunity for the "money shot" of foliage down low on the hills and snow up top because I headed south at 7:00am for a MINI rally, and didn't make it back north in time to wander about for a better shot, so this one was from an interstate rest stop. There were opporunities for great shots of bright yellow leaves with a snow white background, but, I missed them. :(

 

My coworker enjoys photography and viewing the NAM monthly photo contest. We were walking over to Starblecks a few minutes ago and he asked if the contest was closed. I confirmed it was and he was disappointed because he felt he just found the wining Fall Colors entry. I replied with my typical dumbfounded "hunh?" sound while he handed me a huge leaf that just fell and whipped out his phone's crap-cam. He said "Stand by your car and put the leaf here..."



and nobody, I repeat, nobody wants to see me naked to really pull of this composition, so we stopped here.

 

I can't wait to see these pictures! I so love the colors of fall. Just wish I could capture it on my dorky old camera!
