Hmmm not too sure about a magazine. You might see this show on CBS thrusday nights about 9 pm. If you come across a episode called "Heavy Metal " you might even see my car

I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Back on topic here. I think that I need to take some vidoe shots and see what I can come up with.

What about Music clips. there was something about not being able to use copywrite material. I know the law states that if the clip is les the 15 seconds you don't have to have permission form the artist or lable.

That doesn't help the Midnight dragon vid though. Although that was a nice piece. Well put together and nothing illegal in there.

That's sorta a grey area. I don't think there's any law that specifically states a time you can use without running afoul of the law.

There are quite a few sites out there that have PD (Public Domain) or royalty free music. Or you could use Garage Band or something and throw together your own tracks.

I always liked techno for this sort of thing. You can find a lot of licence free techno out there.

I was into making movies from a video game several years back. I only helped out but at one point a lot of those that uploaded movies with copyrighted music were contacted and told not use the music. It's been about 4 years ago so I don't recall the specifics but lawsuits were mentioned.

For now. I doubt if many movie makers would have a problem. There was no problem with the movies I mentioned early on. It was only when sites started popping up which included links to a lot of movies. Apparently at that point it got someones attention. Eventually, if 40 or 50 MINI movies are made and easily available then there may be a problem with copyrighted music. But for now, as long as they are under the radar, they shouldn't get caught.
