I've started geo-tagging my photos on flickr. It's a really neat feature that lets you enter where you took each picture, and see a map of where yo utook your pictures / see pictures from other people taken in the same place...

To geo-tag your pictures, go to the organizr and click on the map tab.

There are lots of ways to look at photos on a map, just click on things There's stuff under the "explore" menu, or in a photo details section for a geo-tagged photo it will say something like "picture taken near Stowe, VT" and you can click on that location name.

Yeah.. I had geotagged a few of my flickr photos a while ago using various firefox plugins and tags. Was very happy that flickr added the capability in house, and even happier that they automatically picked up on my 3rd party geotags

 

What would be neat would be to have one of the cameras that automatically geo-tags your photos when you taken them using GPS. I'm pretty sure there are some of those out there.

I wonder if camera phones can / do do that?
