Here's another one with the 12-24.
Dan,
My D70 has been problem free since getting it back from Nikon in December.
About 95% of my photos are shot RAW. My workflow has been to do some initial RAW processing with Nikon Capture and then further edit the photos with Photoshop 7. I expect that will be changing soon, as I recently started using CS2, but I haven't had enough time with it yet to feel comfortable altering my workflow to be only reliant on CS2. I'm sure with a little more time that will happen though.
Are you still in the Nikon camp? I remember your company was heavily considering making the switch to Canon.

These pics are definitely sweet! They give justice to the PW color, which, unfortunately in my circle of friends, is just another name for cream. Did you use any filters on your camera? And where did you get the black stripes on your boot lid? those are pretty sweet too.

Most of the car stuff on my site is digital:

While the landscapes are mostly film. I am still waiting to get my hands on the Leica digital back...they have been getting very interesting reviews.
Working in RAW does give some nice flexibility, especially with the whites.
Dan,
If you have some photos from the 300mm F/2.8 that you're able to share, I'd be interested in seeing them.
BTW, your photo of your Cooper's grille with the driving lights is still one of my all time favorite MINI photos.

Dave,
These are some 300 2.8 samples:

It's really an effective tool for blurring out backgrounds, especially with the crop factor on the Nikon digitals. I'll see if I can get some more to you if you'd like.
Thanks for the compliment on the MC pic.

Oh, those are nice. I spent some time checking out that Rolls photo in your gallery. If you have more I would be interested in seeing them feel free to PM me or e-mail me too: dave@northamericanmotoring.com
The 300mm lens uses drop in filters right? I haven't used those before. If you have a circular polarizer, is there a section of the "wheel" that sticks out of the filter compartment so you can spin the polarizer?

Thanks dave. I'll send you a few to look at.
The 300 does use drop in filters, and I believe the polarizer has a thumb wheel on it. If you're going to get a 300 - and you have the resources to do so, get the 2.8 - specifically one of the newer ones with an S wave motor in it. It will focus faster than the one I use, which is nice. The VR 300 2.8 is pricey and is the newest model, so some of the S waves can be found used.
