Last night the MINI Club I belong to held its 2nd Annual Night at the Races. The venue? Irwindale Speedway. It was tons of fun. The evening ended with Jesse James winning the Figure 8 race.

I like how in the one above the angle that the hood takes is along the same path as the incline of the stands.

I also shot some with a roll of expired Fuji Velvia rated at ISO 50 (but set camera to ASA 25).

Here are a few (clickable) snaps from my funky film camera.


Although Velvia is a transparency film, I had it cross processed in C-41 for the effects you see in the images. I then upped the contrast and saturation a tad. The vignetting is a result of the f16 aperture on the camera.
