Legal Rights of Photographers

Saw a thread on this in the D70 forum on Nikonians today and thought it might be of interest to all of the photographers out there in MINI land. It comes from Thursday's morning edition on NPR.

Click the link followed by the listen button and select which audio player you want to use.

Here is also a link to Bert Krages' website who has the downloadable "Legal Rights of Photopraphers" one page bulletin mentioned in the sound clip.

Here is an interesting thread on Nikonians as well:

Related to this: does anyone have experience with getting permits for a photoshoot?? I have seen reports in some cases that insurance is sometimes required as part of the permitting process. Anyone know of any insurance carriers that cover such things?

Cool. That's a start. I notice that they mention permits for "certain commercial still photography." I'm a little curious what "certain" means.

When I get some time to dig into this I'll post what I find out.
