Cool.
How appropriate to have your "trademark shot" a self portrait.

Why that evil grin?

The camera is held in sync with the car using a camera mount.

I figured it was about time to do that in my own car. The last time I did it was back in October when I had a cabrio on loan.

Because for all the time I spend with a camera, I'm much more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it.

Do you edit out the camera mount? I don't know if I understand how that works...

Awesome shot, though!

Yes, photoshop is involved, but the background blur is captured on camera (i.e. it's not a photoshop filter).

hey DiD
love your work and that other guy that takes half decent pics, whats his name erm erm thats it Hafid

no dude, really you guys are an inspiration to go out there and get snapping

I did a shoot with some friends at the weekend and will post some pics up later.

did you use the mount just to the right of the indicator - there is like a circle?

dont in anyway want to detract from the cool pic but i know that its dam hard to get things spot on

excellent work!!

scooby: Thanks. FWIW, my list would also include blacknblue, dandp and MarkS.

I have looked at both this version and the full size version and I'm not really clear what you're seeing. Are you talking about the front turn signal, the orange strip on the molding, or the side indicator (with the red S)? In any case it's not the camera mount.

Very sleek shot. Looks as though the car is on a rotating platter in a rotating platter studio--yep, plenty of those in Hollywood. I love the warmth of the background versus the coolness of the car. Otherwise it might have looked industrial or sterile. My favorite is the picture of the forlorn red Mini.

The only explanation I have is that it's some artifact of the unsharp mask.
