Composite Photo

Hey guys, just thought I'd share a composite photo I just finished. This isn't my car, but it is my photo. This is my first attempt at a composite shot. Made up of two photos (both taken by me). One shot for the sky and one shot for the car/ground. Took a while, but I'm quite happy with the end result. The lightning bolt that is seemingly coming out of the car is actually real...it was in the sky photo used in the composite.

Enjoy!

Pretty cool.

However, I find the lightning bolt distracting. If you hadn't told me it was there, I would have assumed that it was a series of mountains / hills that hadn't been blended well with the sky. It kind of looks like an oversharpened border.

I'd try cloning it out and see how it looks.

I just find that it pulls the eye away from your main subject, which I assume is the car.

I like it. If the car was bigger I would love it.

That is amazing! Would you mind posting post of the pictures that you used to make it? I am interested in what the car/ground picture looks like without that sky.

Very nice work! I envy your skills. Forget lightening bolts and composites, I'm still trying to combine my pathetic photographic skills and my Fujifilm auto everything digital camera to get a picture of my car that accurately reproduces the Spice Orange color!

Thanks for all the positive feedback! Here is the non-edited photo used for the car and ground.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks guys! I use a mix of Adobe Lightroom 3.2 (about 99% of the time) and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (only if I'm doing composites or panoramas).
