Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is noon pacific on the 25th of this month.
The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. I'll go with the second definition in my dictionary:
The state of illumination of the atmosphere during this interval, especially after a sunset.
Guess sending my camera off for a sensor cleaning will have to wait.

Or, this definition of twilight- "The time of the day when the sun is just below the horizon, especially the period between sunset and dark." (the italics and bold print were my doing, just for emphasis)
Phew! This means I don't have to stake out anymore places for a good night shot!

But I found this....works for me
"The diffused light from the sky during the early evening or early morning when the sun is below the horizon and its light is refracted by the earth's atmosphere."

We went out to shoot my entry today. I got a good one, I just submitted it. I also got this one, which looks really good.

That's the moon up top and the reflection of the twilight sky on the door.

One of the good ones i got today, gonna go out a few more times I want more twilight less sunset. Its really annoying, but rewarding trying to get that twilight scene, you only have a short period of time to get the work done
Well I've got one from the beginning of the month but I'm not too happy with it. I was going to go out a couple more times but now I have a nice dent on the front of my car, right next to the emblem. So I guess that one will have to do.
So I proposed the topic "Turkeys" for November. Dave says that's a dumb idea.. I think it's freaking amazing. I mean it's not that hard to get a turkey to pose in front of your MINI now is it? You could also get the turkey to pose inside of your MINI..
