April will be the 40th NAM Monthly Photo Contest.

Follow this link for the: Rules and Submission Instructions The deadline for entry is noon pacific on the 25th of this month.

The photo contest is held to encourage people to take new photos with the topic in mind. As a result, please do not submit any photos taken before the contest topic was announced (see contest rules regarding EXIF data).


Interpret that how you will, keeping in mind that the photos must be MINI related and that only one photo per member per month may be submitted.

 

I see a rash of what could be argued as Prima commercials in the near future (myself possibly included).

I don't know how accurate "40th" is because the winners gallery only contains 37 photos (this includes speednut's latest win) so I'm not sure where the other two photos disappeared to.

Oh and just in case you're wondering, you and speednut have each won five contests. So I think this next contest should be the tie breaker (insert random suspense music here).

We started the NAM monthly photo contest in January of 2005 and have had a contest every month since then. 2005, 2006, 2007 (36 months there), so April is #40.

Leslie is right though there are only 37 photos in the winners gallery. I'm not sure why.

 

I don't get it. There's no sunset in your photo.

 

Hey cabrown, first welcome to NAM! Second, you just had to notice that, eh? Soon as I saw the topic, it was out to the driveway. The neighbors were doing yard work so I made it quick.

 

Thanks. I've been lurking long enough to know of your affinity for the sun as it goes down.

Also, I've participated in one photo contest now. "Signs" I believe it was. I have not submitted any others yet due to lack of inspiration (on my part) or logistics. My ride could use a heavy dose of spring cleaning, though.

Just asking... does cleaning the desert of dead Mesquite count for Spring Cleaning? It is cookout season you know.

 

I uploaded a photo for this month's spring cleaning contest. How can I tell if my picture actually uploaded? At the end of my uplodad I got a "no permission" message. Do I need to upload again? Is there a place we can go to see the pictures in this month's contest?

I just checked the gallery (by using dave's username/computer ) and your photo is in there so there's no need to upload again.

The photos in this month's contest will be revealed when the poll is put up on Friday, April 25th (probably sometime during the evening).

It's okay. I already know that I'll be coming home to a super filthy MINI on Sunday. Geoffrey's been sitting in one of the LAX parking lots since last Friday.

 

I'm waiting for the wind to die down, darn dust from the nearby mall construction site makes it look like the Oklahoma dust bowl.
