I know there's discussion of a tailgate party over on MINI2, but I'd rather motor.

Anyone be interested in a tour outside Milwaukee of Holy Hill, or maybe outside Madison around the Baraboo bluffs?

I'm thinking that Door County might be great! There's a little road at the tip of the Penninsula between Gills Rock and the Northport Dock, enough curves to make any driver smile! Plenty of Pubs along the way to share a story. Want to feel like your IN England, stop at the "English Inn"! Awsome Food, nice Bar! I'm hopeing to tie in with the "Badgerland Mini Club (mostly old ones, with some MG's and others mixed in) Keep me posted!

Glad to see more MINIs in K-Town (other than mine). Are You going to the drive on Sunday1 26 03 from Hwy 22 and 41 in Illinois to Milles Resturant in Delevan, Wi?

Isn't there a new MINI dealership that just opened in Madison; at the Zimbrick complex?

Anybody have info, insight or experience with them? Just wondering

No Ryan, sorry, International MINI in Milwaukee is still the only MINI dealer in the state. We are going to have a rally some time at the end of this summer, and we are finding out about something that may happen around the end of May too.

 

If International has a spring/May get together I will attend.
I have attended 2 drives with the chicago area MINI group.
Both events were great fun.
I would like to be part of a Wisconsin group, because I live and work in Wi. The Illinois people are great, but Wisconsin should have it's own MINI group.
An idea that has been suggested, is to combine Chicago and Wisc MINIs for a early fall/ late summer rally at the Brewers vs Cubs game on Sat or Sun, Sept 6th or 7th, in Milwaukee.
Why Milwaukee?
Ease of ticket availability
Big parking lot to tailgate in
Play rain or shine with the retractable roof.
Promotes MINI's across a larger area.

Now will the dealers get involved if we did this event , and make tickets bought in blocks available thru Knauz, International, etc? Or is that a bad idea.
40+ MINI's in a tailgate party... What could be better.

 

I am upset that I missed the mini get together in kenosha at the spot. I found out by reading the paper the next day. I think there should be more that come to kenosha. I want to motor with more mini's. Oh and any one reading this from kenosha. I happened to see a white mini with black bonnet stripes today. I flashed my brights and waved and i got no response, i was a little upset about that. But I am drivin a 02 liquid yellow cooper s black roof. We should all get togther and motor through kenosha again so i can join this time.

I do believe I've seen you around Kenosha. Possibly on Hwy E west bound, you saw my 02 Black over Black, East bound. approx two weeks ago about 10:30 am?
Anyway..
The next MINI event is a Meeting April 26th. Then May 31st or June 1st, an outing for a drive and to a theatre to see THE ITALIAN JOB movie. Probably a matinee.

 

I'll be driving up to Superior in July if anyone is in that area.

 

Just found out this morning that there will be an informal gathering in Madison on April 26. We're meeting at the old train station, new site of the ***** Street Bike Shop, at 10:00am, with plans to parade around the Farmer's Market. Then lunch (place tba).

Feel free to join us, even if you're not living in Madison. Even though Zimbrick did not get a dealership, there are quite a few MINI's in Madison.

 

Hope to meet up sometime with other Wisc. Mini enthusiasts. We're just outside Milw. Too bad I work on the 26th
