From what I've seen on YAHOO! - looks like the next meeting will be sometime in April. Meenee is headed to the chicago meet on 8MAR03 - which was going to be our next meeting at kart2kart. A

Do you propose that we try to meet end of March??

Hey, Ryan-- you should join our Yahoo group to stay up on the banter. There is a reference to the group earlier in this thread. Meene Coopah suggested generally that we move Kart 2 Kart to April, but the end of March is obviously close to that. I'm hoping that we can get more things going when the weather breaks. Anyway, we've shared a lot of other ideas in the Yahoo group if you havn't checked it out.

 

I'm wondering why we don't just use this board as a chat basis?

Kart2Kart March 29th or 30th sounds good, who knows, I might be lucky and have my MCS by then (if it comes in on the Carmen, NY on 3/23)!!

I might schmooze with Motor City MINI to see if they'll let me bring a demo or two to "show off"

Wow, Ryan, you are getting close to having your car. I don't know that I can answer your question about which site to post and chat on. I know the Yahoo group has some features I've found interesting. Like the poll and calender features. I must say you are certainly a frequent poster on this site. How many postings do I have to do before I get out of neutral?

I want my mini! Well, I still have to order it, but I've known exactly what I want for years now. The only thing holding me back is selling my Jeep Cherokee! It's been on the market for over 2 months now with no luck. Anyone know of anyone who could use a Jeep?

Well, I'm so despirate to sell my Jeep I posted it here!

Down to business though... My mini cooper (no S for me) will be pure silver, black top, CVT, all 3 packages, xenon lights, driving lamps, and (possibly) the HK system. I still don't know if I want to go the HK route or do aftermarkets, or maybe get the HK and then get aftermarkets anyway if they're not enough for me. I'll probably spend hours contemplating this feature and still will end up undecided (that's how I spent most of my college career so I'm used to it!) But then again it will probably still be a while before I sell my Jeep!

 

Count in one more. I just signed up on Yahoo. "Drago" (MC, cb/cb, prem, sport, xenon, HK) is scheduled to be hatched during the second week of April. Delivery about mid May.

 

Welcome aboard, Flash. I see that you have already filled out our poll. Thanks. If you went back in the yahoo messages you will see that there has been some talk about an April 5th get together at Kart 2 Kart. However, a couple members said they couldn't make that date. I leave these big decisions for our leader (swingkat/meene coopah) as to whether we will go with this date. Several of us are also planning on joining Snydleydog on April 16th in Novi. There is also talk of a weekend at Waterford Hill Racetrack. Finally, some of us may participate in a special weekend charity drive in October to Traverse City and back.

 

All those meet sound good to me! I'll talk to MCM about "sponsoring" the K2K meet with a few more MINI's to show.

A day at Waterford Hill would be awesome! Someone, DO IT!

Ryan. If you talk to MCM, it was Ken that suggested to me that we could do something at Waterford. You could check with him to see if he was able to follow up. It was just last week that I talked to him, so he may not of contacted anyone yet. I think of Waterford with great memories of being a turn marshall, and helping a friend campaign showroom stock and formula fords. Its great entertainment to sit up on the hill and picnic. Can easily be family oriented too for those members who have family to bring along. I'm wondering if I can bring my Weber--where it would fit and whether its allowed.

I live in Grand Rapids, MI. I have a Dark Silver Mini Cooper S. How many MINI owners do we have here in West Michigan? Any meets happening this spring. I am planning on running my MCS at Grattan Race Track on Memorial Day. The Alpha club runs this every year.

Hi there super c, welcome to this forum. You may also want to check out our Michigan Yahoo group-if you have not found it already. We have about 25 members so far. We have been plannning events. Most of the members would seem to be from southeastern Michigan, but there's no reason we can't plan things on the west side or more central. Our next meet is on April 5th. There are threads on this forum that give you the details. By the way, I can remember going to Grattan years ago. A lot different track from our local little track (Waterford Hills). We are thinking about trying to get something going there (Waterford) as well. Still, I can remember some classic minis running the Grattan track. They would sure be wound out to the max going down what I remember as a pretty long straightaway.
