When you get to the end of 229, it "tees" into 58. Stop there, catch your breath, secure all the loose stuff that was flying around inside your MINI. Then just go right back north on 229 through Creston back to 41 and continue on. Little Rock Canyon Road is NOTHING compared to 229 - backtracking a few miles here will be well worth it.

If you really don't want to backtrack at all, take 58 west to Santa Margarita to 101, and then go north with the rest of the SUV's and pickups back up to 41.

 

Either way sounds good to me.

Is there a time you guys are going to try and meet up at the 229? I'll drive up there and meet you guys ... Or maybe I should give someone my phonenumber and have them call me when you guys get within 30 minutes :D.

 

I think the calling thing would work better. Theres just to far to drive to make an accurate prediction on when we should meet....

 

Most likely we will stop at the rest area on 46 just east of the 41 Creston turn off. You should meet us there.
That is where I stop when I go to see or take home my kids.

What's the approx drive time from Fresno to Morro bay? I may catch up with you guys on this run... If I can talk the Mrs. into it... Let me know so I can start my sales pitch!

 

Fresno to Morro Bay is 2 1/2 to 3 hours each way. Depending on stops, and yapping.

 

Hey I am thinking it might be fun to go down to Morro Bay. Will you guys have radios on and what channel? Do you have a club mobile phone number? I will be coming from up north so probably won't meet you until close to Morro Bay. Still deciding on the route.

 

We will be on channel 7, sub 21. I can always give you my cell #.
