OK i just took the mini up to bass lake. Didn't see much difference around town. But on the sweepers up there it really came to life.

Brad I thought you were going to install it?
Brad will have it on his car when things get slower here. He left me here to work and went to Laughlin to drink.

To be honest with you I have not asked. Nick spoke with Brad & Steve when he took the car in. Is there something about alta that I should stay away from? Let me know what your suggestions and opinions are.

Thanks! Shelly

I'm just anti-alta.

I put the catless header on today. All I can say is WOW! The car is actually quieter at idle and crusing speed. But when I put my foot down or blip the throttle.... All hell breaks loose I had Sid do a driveby and I could hear him downshifting more than a mile away. The burble has been amplified imensley too.

It would be rather hard to do for 2 reasons. The m7 is not in production anymore and to run w.o a cat in california is a big no-no.

The M7 exhaust is the loudest I've heard; with a header and no cat, I bet you can hear it in the next state.

It is actually quieter at idle and crusing speed. But when you put your foot down... Lets just say I've set some car alarms off... A cop was following me and I was scared about touching the gas.... Another great improvenent is that throttle response and the speed with which the car revs has been greatly improved.

Well. The megan header that i have has an interchangable test pipe. You could weld up a cat so that you could throw it in when you went to smog your car.

No smog for me out here :D

Yea i've thought about putting two flanges on there so i could do a quick swap.

I know almost every other state has no smog and the stupid liberals out here in cal have to screw up everything for us.

As a bleeding heart liberal without a cat on my car, I take offense to that... I also club baby seals for fun...

Ya. You could butcher you stock header to get the factory cat and weld flanges on it to swap into the test pipe section when you need to get smoged. Be sure to get the megan though. That is one of the few that I know of with flanges.

Did you know what exhaust you are getting? If you can find an m7 laying around (in Steve's shop...) get it.

Good backup. The m7 is the best one though. Grab a megan header too. The install is a PITA, but it is easy now that I know how to do it. If you like, I will do it for you while I visit in cali over Xmas break. Or you can have steve do it. I'm not sure if he has done any yet...
