STEVE AND BRAD, HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS PLACE? IT MIGHT BE A GOOD SUPPLIER FOR "THE BIZ" ESSPECIALLY FOR CUSTOM AND ONE OFFS. WHEN YOUR UP AND RUNNING I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A UNIQUE MINI PRODUST THAT SHOULD SELL VERY WELL.

Now Thats A Blower

HEY BLAKE, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. IF THEY CAN MAKE IT WORK ON A JAG, THE MINI SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE. MIGHT NEED A LITTLE PLUMBING WORK.

Still Orienting. It's alot of fun, though. I've made alot of friends. Going to a frat party tonight all night then registering for classes first thing tomorrow. O ya, and I'm using a mac with a 30" wide screen right now. I love this school

Also, there are a bunch of hooka bars here. They rock

Installed The Torque Damper This Morning. Found That To Install With No Binding That I Needed To Install The Short Bolt With A Close Tolerance Washer On Each Side Of The Heim Joint To Keep The Damper In A Position That Will Let It Flex And Move As Needed. When I First Installed It With No Washers It Bound Up And Allowed No Movement. The Hardest Part Of The Install Was To Get It Adjusted To The Correct Length To Fit Between The Bolt Holes. It Is Also A Knuckle Skinner To Install. Notice No Vibration At Idle And Smoothness Off The Line And Accel From Low Rpm. Have Not Had Time For A Redline Run Yet. It Is Still A Little Warm Down Here.

Sounds like that damper is really worth it then. I was kind of skeptical at first but then I noticed fluid coming out of engine anti-vibration mounts.

I had the same problem and used the bell washer on the engine side. Since my engine sits higher in the engine bay then a lot of other MINIs I've seen, there was no binding on the frame side. I also drilled a hole closer to the engine and closer to the engine mount. I wonder how many people just tightened down the dampener and let it bind?

Do you have colder plugs? I have never had a problem with pinging even in the heat.

You ready to try and put one on an auto? I'm sure it will take some ingenuity. Just think, you would be the first. Nobody is talking about how to do a MCSa. LOTF is avoiding the issue. Oh well, it will give me an excuss for not staying up with you guys. Ken

If you don't mind a little grinding, and a new hole, I don't think it will be a problem. Most people are afraid to drill or grind, but I have done it to every vehicle I have ever owned and they have gone from 134k to 400k miles. The one with the most miles has the most holes drilled in it.
