Does anyone know who has the MidCal Mini's banner? One of us needs to get this item. I'd be happy to pick it up in Fresno. Zied, thanks for hosting the event & helping coordinate this shin-dig.

 

I've attached a copy of the map from Fresno (our office) to Treasure Island (MMMT). The drive time says 3 hours & 6 minutes, so I'm thinking of leaving around 10am'ish. We're staying at Hotel 480 - Union Square: www.hotel480.com, so once we get there & register, we'll need to leave for awhile to check-in & then head back to Treasure Island to hang out.

 

Ken & Sandee will be going also.

 

I believe Rob has the banner. 10 am'ish sounds good to us. We(Ken,Sandee,Nick & Shelly) are staying in Emeryville. We will be meeting up with Ken & Sandee somewhere along the way. Also we will register and then head over to Treasure Island. Let me know where you would like to meet up.

Where do you want to meet up tomorrow morning? We can roll out of Clovis together & then meet Ken and Sandee somewhere in Madera or the 99. I get to pick up the Frackmobile today!

 

If its just the two of us heading out, we can meet up at Shaw/Willow(parking lot of Dennys) at 10:00 and hit 168 to 99. This will not take us out of our way. How does this work for you?

Where you staying? Terri and I will be at TI by 1pm on Friday. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville. Will be working with the REME group most of the weekend, but always fun to hang with the MidCal folks too. See you tomorrow!

 

Great to hear that you're going! We should be at TI at about the same time. Jill & I will be staying at Hotel 480 - Union Square, but we'll be doing a lot of hanging out with the Mini people. Look forward to grabbing a beer with you!

We had an awesome time & Jill and I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone: Lyle, Randy, Willum, Sue, Dusty, Ken, Sandee, Nick & Shelly. Our favorite part of the trip aside from hanging out was the twisties through Sonoma on the way to the Andretti Winery. Bonus, it totally justified the new KW/H-Sport setup.

Hope you enjoyed the books on tape coming back! Here's one of the neat pic's of some of the cars & the skyline. Jim you totally missed out.

 

Wow what a weekend! What an event! Thank you to all that helped make this a huge success by attending and supporting the Northern California Mini-MINI Community .

With all the runs and off-site activities, there was no way to easily determine how successful this was until the cars starting filling up the parking lot for the banquet dinner Saturday night followed by the live concert by the Sun Kings.

We have an unofficial count of over 350 cars in the parking lot in the early evening, but the lot continued to fill after dark during the concert. There was no evening fog and just slight cool breeze making the San Francisco skyline a sparkling backdrop for the band.

Over $7000 worth of merchandise and services were awarded as door prizes during the banquet dinner, between sets at the concert, and on Sunday morning just before the Santa Cruz Mountains run. If you missed the Magical Mystery Mini Tour, you truly missed a one of a kind event!

Man what a Great time I had, a Big Thank You to REME (Norm, Jess, Zied & everyone who worked so hard) to make this such a (dare I say it) Groovy Weekend, Super Views from T.I. fun tours throughout the S.F.Bay Area. I was able to meet new people from all over, make new friends and party like it was 196? (whatever) I'll wait till the sting wears off, but man I hope we can do this again next year.....
