OK I have had this concept in my head for a while now and got around to photoshopping it together for a public comment. The inner grill is greyed out the rim is Oranged to match and the lower has the crome removed and the body color bar blacked out.

 

I'd do a Matte Black on the slats instead of the grey, since it would go with the rest of the trim. Then again, I'm a fan of stark contrast of the Pwhite and black. Just my 2 cents.

 

A bit too matchy-matchy for me...but then I think the only proper grill for a MINI is a chrome one.
