The next breakfast is fast approaching. Just in case you didn't make the January one, it's at the new "old place". Tim Horton's at Rt 161 and New Albany Road.
You forget I have to go thru the Urbana area...you know, the area where they DO NOT clear drifts.... It can be sunny and warm everywhere else, but that area is the state's armpit....
Babs & I had to do some serious snow drift busting tonight in our MINI. I just dropped down a gear & kept the momentum up. No problem.
Maybe Dr Burt can help you with your armpit drifts...
When I was returning after the last Breakfast [but in the evening], the wind had drifted the exit from SR 4 to US 36 so badly that my car WAS the plow, as the snow went right up over the bonnet, windshield and roof! The snow was around 10" or so deep and I was happy I had those Blizzak REVOs on or I'd have been toast. Still, while the car plunged forward, I kept praying that no one would come around the bent to obliterate me, for I was unable to see where I was going until I managed to find an open area, stop. get my bearings, and move cautiously onward. What should have been a 20 minute ride from Milford Center, became a 45 minute ride at around 15-20 mph, as I kept bottoming out on the snow in the ruts.
Nope...I DO NOT have much faith in the snow-clearing ability of the highway crews in that area, especially since these were major roads [State and US], and not backroads. Unfortunately, I have to travel these roads in order to get to see my family, go to MAG for service, or attend the monthly breakfasts at Tim's...or travel nearly 80 miles out of my way to skirt the problem.
URBANA, OHIO....home of Crabill's Hamburgers since 1927. Hey Jeff, let's get stuck in a snow drift near Crabills and eat hamburgers until the snow melts

Sure! Should we invite that other Silverback...aka Crashton, too?
Our daughter and soninlaw are moving back to Gahanna from Cleveland (she is returning to EMH&T), so we hope to get back into the Columbus MINI scene again. They still have their triple black MC and are looking forward to it. Maybe catch the March breakfast.
Rob maybe I asked you before, but what does your daughter do for EMH&T? They are a major sponsor of one of the programs at my job.
Erin is a proposal writer working out of Craig Bohning's private development and land planning group. Craig had been looking for 5 months for "another Erin" to fill the spot after she left and could not find anyone who measured up. When Mike got laid off in Cleveland, someone at EMH&T found out and they asked her to come back. BTW, Mike is a Landscape Architect (OSU grad) and is looking for a position in the Columbus area if anyone has a contact.
