Hey everyone in the Mid-Atlantic area! On May 24th (which is a Saturday) we are organizing another PA run! Those of you who came last November may remember how FUN the route was that John Fleischer planned out for us! I can't wait! Details are in the works now, but we (John and I) will be posting specifics as we know them.

Hope to see lots of you there! Such a beautiful time of year for a drive!!!

Same exact route as last time? And if we're stopping at the all-you-can-eat Amish place, I'm not eating for a week prior to the run. That place was almost overkill with food. *oink*
It'll sure be fun, tho'!

I'm not sure if it 'tis the same or not....all John and I have decided is the date thus far. That route was totally fun, but I am thinking it will probably be a different one this time.

And yeah...that buffet was NUTS! I ate SO MUCH I thought I was going to explode! The food was great though!

Since the route we did last time was so incredible, I believe it will be the same run! We also may be moving the date to the 25th (which is Sunday) so that we do not compete with Helix's Dyno Day. More details to come.

Got my schedule for May today and now I know that I can make this run. I am eager to make this run since last time you ran it I didn't have my Mini yet .

Are we eating at the same place at the first time? Sounds like it would make a grown man cry with that much food

(There is another post about a lunch in Alexandria on the 24th which is a Saturday....I don' twant to get the two confused.....)

That sounds like so much fun! I wish I could try and make it down to hang out with all of you...but since I will be moving to FL the next weekend, it might be kinda tough...I'll think about it as the time gets closer...

I hate to disappoint you all - but I'm fairly certain that the Shady Maple Smorgasbord is closed on Sundays.

Yeah we know.....we are doing the drive on the 25th instead (I think I said that somewhere above) so that we don't have to compete with dyno day. That way people can do both! I would change the topic name to reflect that...but I don't know how.

Bump as a reminder! The date is May 25th! The time is tentatively 10am.

The route this year will be the same as last year for all of those who attended last November! John is still solidifying the place that we will be eating....more details to come!

I'm not sure what route you folks are taking, but if you are in the Susquehanna Valley area, you shoul d see if you can squeeze in a ride accross the Millersburg Ferry. It crosses the river at its widest point, and is the only Ferry still running on the Susquehanna, and the only wooden-keel paddle-wheel ferry still operating in the US (I think!). Definitely a nice way to relax during the trip!

It can only hold a handful of cars at one time though, so depending on the size of your group, it may have to make a couple trips.

The restaurant that John has found is called Peoples. It's a mom & pop type of deal and sounds nice.
More info to come!
