Help with R53 Aero Kit Bumper Grille Install....
Sorry Brother
Sorry man. I am going through the same issues presently however I am on the West coast. I have been trying to do as much research as possible before I purchase the Kit for my mini. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
You can hit me up with any questions. I did an r53 aero install. In pepper white even. With beer even!

aero middle grill install
I just installed this on my r53 last night.
I used blue tape to mark the cut lines and then used a razor to score the cut. Once scored, the pieces come off rather easily with flat pliers. no melting plastic or rough edges. Probably got 90-95% of the material off using this method, now I'm fine tuning the fit by shaving off material with a razor.
Also managed to do this without removing the bumper cover. the chrome and painted strips come off. The chrome snaps in. Just used a putty knife and it popped out. Painted piece is held by double stick tape. Once off, I used a cut off tool to evacuate material visible behind the grill (just hold grill up to space and you'll see what to take off). Once material was removed, marked bumper for new snap in locations using grill as a template, used 1/8 drill and a razor to make these.
probably a couple of hours into this so far, with some fine tuning fitment still to occur.
Cheers.
