HERB CHAMBERS - Stands by there word!!

I just need to put this out there. Herb Chambers did right by me. I went in to purchase a Cooper S, black on black on black. It wasn't going to be too expensive, or at least not too many options. As a man who, when aware that there was a better version (the JCW), that is what I would prefer. however, I was trying to be responsible and not get too crazy!

My insurance company offers a car buying service to help negotiate car prices, I had built the mini I wanted and naturally, it was going to need to be ordered.

There were no dealerships locally that would honor the price, well that is to say, Inskip said they would and when time came to honor the price, they double spoke, changed there minds and wouldn't honor the price they promised and offered an insulting price for my trade (a low mileage tacoma). I called Herb chambers, they agreed over the phone to accept the price guarantee.

When I got the HC Scott Pann the MA was very helpful in building the MINI I wanted. As we got further into the build, he could see right through me. He knew I wanted a JCW...who wouldn't right?

Well it just so happened that they had just received in the port a Stripped JCW , Black with Chili red roof and mirrors and chili accents. It was my dream car.

They not only honored the price guarantee for the S but they agreed to do so on the JCW too. I was blown away. So I went forward with the JCW.

When they crunched the numbers the price was right and I was in. Here is where HC did right. Someone goofed, they screwed up the calculations...In my favor.

Rather then back peddling and taking back the price, they ate the difference to make the deal, and took it on the chin. I got to keep the great price. Then someone else made another mistake, and still, they honored the price.

From sales, to finance to parts, everyone was a straight shooter, and fair and honest. From Tim the sales manager who informed me of the their error,(and remedied the problem) to Janu in finance who put the deal together and was so wonderfully polite, easy going and never made me feel uncomfortable, everyone was great to work with.

I am confident that I got the deal of the century on my JCW, and will gladly take my JCW there for any service, even though INSKIP is down the street.

I also want to say that at INSKIP Dave in service and Donna in Sales were both so helpful through my decision making process. The problem was the sales manager Brian... I would have preferred to work with Donna, but Brian blew the deal up.

I know this is a big run on sentence, but i am tired (from blasting the JCW through turns in southern RI all day). If anyone has any questions PM me I am so happy to tell people about the great experience I had at HERB CHAMBERS MINI.

Top Notch.

Well I'll be darned. And I thought Herb Chambers were an unwashed and unrepentant band of pirates!

Just goes to show ya, no generalization will stick in all cases.

Glad to hear of your experience, and enjoy that hot rod!

Cheers,

Charlie

Can you offer details on your deal of the century? For example, how much above dealer invoice did you pay for your JCW?
