Where have I heard that before? Oh yeh, same response you gave to my 2004 MCS F/S posting. Maybe you should consider a trip east, seems like there are a couple of real good deals on this side

Sounds like a great deal and I'm actually looking for a replacement. I just can't bring myself to buy a car long distance/unseen. Good luck with your sale!

Seems like everyones deal with the distance! Can't blame you. Maybe I should just move out to the west coast, I would probably have no problems selling it there... plus its warm too!

I have the chance to buy another car at a good deal, I mean really good. Total opposite to a Mini but something I have always wanted.

Enjoy your new Hummer!

Really though, that is a great deal. You'll sell it easy enough so here's a bump for you!

Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of this car? I need to get atleast 21,000. I thought about calling the Mini dealer seeing if they would buy it. Do you guys think the Mini dealer is my best bet or should I call other dealers? Also, if one dealer appraises it at a certain price, should I accept that as pretty much what I am going to get or should I shop around a good amount? Do most dealers buy even if your not buying a car? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

kbb says tradein between 21 - 22K. Just about what you want.

You have no mods which is good for reselling. My FIRST choice would be go to CARMAX and ask what they would give you.

Unfortunately there is not a carmax near me, I looked at their website. They seem like they would give a pretty good deal. Have you had any experience with them in relation to trade-ins? Maybe its worth it to drive it down there...

Yes, I have both traded-in and sold outright to CARMAX.

They are not kind on "modded" cars because they dont sell

But they are very fair on stock OEM cars. In fact, I sold my last car outright to them and used the money to buy our MINI! There prices was about 30% over what the MINI dealer would give in trade-in!

I read that there is a Carmax in Baltimore that has a deal with Mini of Towson and they give decent prices. Are you in the Baltimore area?

There are several Carmax in the Baltimore area.

Yup, I bought from Towson. Check out their website. They have like 50+ cars in stock right now but like most dealers, they are MSRP... no deals. Do NOT trade-in there though, poor value!

Just talked to Carmax in Rockville. They couldn't give me any indication of even a price range. I even asked them to maybe look at previous Mini's they have taken in. Just dont have the time nor can I take the risk of driving down there and having them lowball me. I'll probably just drive around the state tomorrow getting it appraised! Thanks for your help though!
