Garth, Shame you need heated. I have a set of non-sport seats in my basement. Unfortunately they are not heated. If you get desperate let me know. jaxmini

You can get racing seats, or look for a 'junked' Mini somewhere near you, and pull one out of there. A junkyard will probably charge you about $50... Maybe try ebay as well?

Racing Seats?

Garth, maybe you should elaborate on what is actually hurting you. Lack of support, lack of width of the seat. If it's the latter a racing seat will likely be worse. Can you really get used Mini seats in a junkyard for $50? Seems like they sell for a pretty good price here. Wingbat, not busting on you but is this a typical price at a "junkyard"?

it takes a while to get the seat dialed in on the MINI. The seat, even the sport seat, represents a lot of compromises in order to serve short and tall drivers, skinny and fat drivers . . . you get the idea. Remember to position yourself relative to the controls--the steering wheel, pedals, shifter. I have found that the MINI is more comfortable to drive in a "sitting up" position rather than reclining. I'm 6'2" and have a sunroof, and I'm comfortable with the sport seats. I als found that I position the seat farther forward than I would in most cars, though this may be because the steering wheel does not telescope (a flaw I hope MINI corrects).

Someone with a Cooper without sport seats might really jump at the chance to switch to sport seats. Your best bet would be to let the folks here know where you are located and also to find your local MINI club and see if someone would like to upgrade to the sport seats. . .
